Dementia friendly dance for over 55s
Published: 28 January 2022
Dance sessions for people aged 55 and older who are living with memory problems, including dementia.
These friendly and supportive sessions give participants the chance to improve their wellbeing and mobility by singing, dancing, chatting and socialising over a cup of tea or coffee.
They are suitable for all, including those who wish to remain seated during exercise. Carers are welcome too.
The sessions are taking place in two locations:
Thursdays between 10am and 11.30am from 3 March for 12 weeks at Shoreham Village Hall (31 High Street, Shoreham TN14 7TB).
Tuesdays between 1.30pm and 3pm from 8 March for 12 weeks at The Eden Centre (Four Elms Rd, Edenbridge TN8 6BY)
The 12-week courses cost £36 in advance (payable in instalments) and includes drinks. Carers go FREE.
For more information and to book a place, call 01732 227000 or email communities@sevenoaks.gov.uk.
The sessions are part-funded by Involve and will be delivered by EDNA (Energise Dance Nourish Art).
